Summer in the Snowies Tour (3 days)
8 - 10 February 2025
This trip is based on our very successful Christmas in August Tour. I certainly don’t expect any snow which we normally find in August, but the Snowy Mountains in Summer is still a glorious place to visit.
We will venture from Canberra through the Brindabella Ranges with a little 4wd action on the way. Then travel via Tumut to Tumbarumba and our overnight accommodation at the magnificent Tumbarumba Motel. This trip is a fully accommodated trip with dinner and breakfast included. The restaurant in Tumbarumba is fabulous and it’s a 2-minute walk from your room. Just bring lunch for each day and morning tea. On Day 2 we will explore the nearby state forests and national parks, where the Winter trip often means greasy tracks that can prevent us getting to see everything, I expect in Summer we will not have this problem and I plan to show you all the amazing locations that I have found over the years along with a few brumbies and some great 4wd tracks. Dinner back at the motel that night and then on Monday (yes we are making it a long weekend for you) I’ll lead you over the Snowy Mountains back to Canberra, via the beautiful back roads through the rolling hills of the high country.
